The Emergency Departments at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital are open 24/7 for our community. The safety of our patients, staff and community is our top priority at Mackenzie Health and we are doing everything possible to keep everyone safe during this COVID-19 crisis. We have also made all TV, internet and phone access free on the tablets available at each bedside, we're providing free Wi-Fi and have implemented video chat functionality through each patient's bedside tablet. At their appointment, patients will be assessed by a physician who will be able to provide a diagnosis and treatment options without the patient needing to wait in the Emergency Department waiting area. Please note that being assessed by a physician does not guarantee you will receive a COVID-19 test. And Mackenzie Health permits all patients to have an unlimited number of visitors between visiting hours, though only two visitors will be permitted in a patient room at the same time.
